CRIEGLE is a design practice exploring how objects, identities, and systems adapt to and participate in shaping the unknown future.

Auxetics are meta-materials that counterintuitively expand when stretched. It is this property that inspires us to respond to challenges unconventionally. The auxetic ethos asks that designs adapt, and rejects rigid ideology, in pursuit of understanding the nature of reality.

We believe adaptation, not power or speed, is a defining characteristic of carbon based intelligence. It is upon this philosophy that we construct our creative practice, so that we might carry forward the art of adaptation for generations to come.

We exisit to guide humanity to a path where a future of abundance becomes a possibility. For in a society of abundance, fear may recede, and the ability to create expands. In this future, co-creation might flourish and bring abundance to benefit all forms of intelligence.

Objects no longer end at their edges. Just as the perimeter of our human bodies is blurry on an atomic level, so too are the objects we interact with in the physical reality, blurring as their presence entangles with the digital reality, establishing an ongoing relationship connecting the two realities.

We design objects that age with the expansion of intelligence, not against it. As we race towards an infinite horizon, the objects we choose to carry forward with us should respond to the ever changing conditions. This requires resilient materials, yet ones also conscious of the matter they contain and consume.

Optimism is a self fulfilling prophecy. We exist to inspire the belief that anything is possible, where dreams become reality. Focused belief in a vision, this must exist before an idea manifests, therefore optimism becomes a neccessary condition to create the reality we desire.

CRIEGLE is not a product line. It is a practice. A way of relating to the future through what we make, wear and carry forward. It is a philosophy for how we inspire the next evolution of intelligence to create a future shaped by abundance, optimism and a belief that creation is the highest virtue.
